The Old San Juan District, encompassing Piers 3 and 4, serves as a key gateway to the city’s historic core and cultural landmarks. Pier 4 supports both transit and homeport operations, with dedicated areas for check-in, security screening, and baggage handling. A boarding bridge provides flexible vessel access, and the terminal is equipped to process thousands of guests efficiently. Pier 3 has recently undergone major upgrades and repairs, enabling it to accommodate today’s mega cruise vessels. With its prime location and efficient layout, the terminal delivers a smooth, welcoming experience for cruise passengers arriving in Puerto Rico.
The Panamerican District comprises Panamerican Piers East and West, strategically located across the bay from Old San Juan and purpose-built to support large-scale homeport operations. These terminals play a critical role in San Juan’s cruise infrastructure, accommodating high-capacity vessels and complex embarkation and disembarkation logistics.
Panamerican Pier West features upgraded terminal facilities, improved passenger circulation, and modernized infrastructure designed to support today’s large ships and evolving operational demands. As part of a phased investment program, Panamerican Pier East is also slated for comprehensive upgrades, ensuring continued alignment with industry standards and long-term port growth.
Both terminals are equipped with dual boarding bridges and are designed to deliver efficient operations while maintaining a high standard of guest experience.
