The Old San Juan District, encompassing Piers 3 and 4, serves as a key gateway to the city’s historic core and cultural landmarks. Pier 4 supports both transit and homeport operations, with dedicated areas for check-in, security screening, and baggage handling. A boarding bridge provides flexible vessel access, and the terminal is equipped to process thousands of guests efficiently. Pier 3 has recently undergone major upgrades and repairs, enabling it to accommodate today’s mega cruise vessels. With its prime location and efficient layout, the terminal delivers a smooth, welcoming experience for cruise passengers arriving in Puerto Rico.
The Panamerican District includes Panamerican Piers East and West, located across the bay from Old San Juan. These terminals are purpose-built to support large-scale homeport operations. Panamerican Pier West is currently undergoing a full renovation, expected to be completed later this year. Once reopened, it will feature upgraded facilities, optimized passenger flow, and modern infrastructure to support large-ship logistics. Following its completion, Panamerican Pier East will begin a comprehensive renovation—continuing the phased transformation of San Juan’s cruise port. Both terminals are equipped with two boarding bridges and are designed to ensure operational efficiency while delivering a high standard of guest service.
